What is smart film?
Privacy and openness,

Smart film is an electrically switchable, self-adhesive film based on PDLC technology. The film is applied to suitable glass and switches between a matte and a transparent state.

Transparent versus matte
See the difference
In the transparent state, light, view and spaciousness are retained as much as possible. Smart film is optically not exactly identical to fully untreated glass.

De techniek achter het schakeleffect
In de folie bevinden zich vloeibare kristallen. Zonder spanning verstrooien deze het licht en oogt de folie mat. Met elektrische spanning richten de kristallen zich uit en wordt de folie transparanter.

In de matte stand wordt het directe zicht sterk beperkt. Bij sterke verlichting, bepaalde kijkhoeken of wanneer iemand zeer dicht bij het glas staat, kunnen vormen of silhouetten nog gedeeltelijk zichtbaar zijn.
Nee. De folie wordt sterk transparant, maar afhankelijk van de uitvoering, het glas, de verlichting en de kijkhoek kan enige restwaas zichtbaar blijven.
Dat kan afhankelijk van de situatie. Onder andere directe waterbelasting, condensatie, ventilatie, bescherming van randen en aansluitpunten en de positie van elektrische onderdelen worden vooraf beoordeeld.
Dat kan wanneer de gekozen voeding, controller en besturing daarvoor geschikt zijn. De gewenste koppeling wordt daarom vooraf meegenomen in de technische beoordeling.
Globale afmetingen, het aantal glasoppervlakken, enkele duidelijke foto's, de gewenste toepassing en de projectlocatie zijn voldoende voor een eerste beoordeling. U kunt deze gegevens via het prijsindicatieformulier aanleveren.
