What is smart film?
Smart film is an electrically switchable film based on PDLC technology. The film is applied to suitable existing or new glass and switches between a matte and a transparent state.
How does smart film work?
PDLC-technologie werkt met vloeibare kristallen in de folie. Zonder spanning verstrooien deze het licht en oogt de folie mat. Met elektrische spanning richten de kristallen zich uit en wordt de folie transparanter.
De folie wordt aangesloten op een passende voeding en bediening. De technische uitvoering wordt afgestemd op de folie, het oppervlak en de gewenste bediening.

Standard smart film
Switch suitable glass between a matte and a transparent state. Suitable for homes, offices and partition walls.
Coloured smart film
Combine switchable smart film with a colour that matches the interior or house style. Availability is assessed per situation.
Smart film with logo or design
Under certain conditions, integrate a logo, pattern or custom design into the film. Technical feasibility is assessed in advance.
Projection application
Use a suitable version in matte state as a projection surface. The projector, lighting conditions and viewing direction are assessed separately.

Simple and careful cleaning
Clean smart film carefully with a soft, clean cloth and a mild, non-abrasive cleaning product. Avoid sharp objects, scouring pads, aggressive products and excessive moisture near edges and connections.

Frequently asked questions about smart film
Vind antwoorden op veelgestelde vragen over werking, privacy, installatie, bediening en uitvoeringen.
Dat is in veel situaties mogelijk. Het glas moet onder andere geschikt, schoon, glad en in goede staat zijn. De situatie wordt vooraf beoordeeld.
In de matte stand wordt het directe zicht sterk beperkt. Bij sterke verlichting, bepaalde kijkhoeken of wanneer iemand zeer dicht bij het glas staat, kunnen vormen of silhouetten nog gedeeltelijk zichtbaar zijn.
Nee. De folie wordt sterk transparant, maar afhankelijk van de uitvoering, het glas, de verlichting en de kijkhoek kan enige restwaas zichtbaar blijven.
Bij de standaard PDLC-uitvoering schakelt de folie zonder spanning terug naar de matte stand. Bij bijzondere uitvoeringen kan de werking afwijken; daarom wordt de gekozen uitvoering vooraf technisch bepaald.
HQ Smartfolies biedt smartfolie als complete oplossing aan. Wij verzorgen het inmeten, de plaatsing, technische aansluiting, test en oplevering. Losse levering zonder installatie wordt niet aangeboden.
Geschikte smartfolie kan in de matte stand worden gebruikt als projectieoppervlak op glas. De geschikte projector, projectierichting en plaatsing worden per situatie beoordeeld. Een projector maakt niet standaard onderdeel uit van de smartfolie-installatie.
